Brides must be 'completely certain' about their wedding venues

Choosing the right wedding venue is important for brides as it can significantly impact on the overall feel of the day.

This is according to Adrienne Smith of MeetingPlannerOnline.com, who discussed the different types of location couples can choose from.

For those who want a traditional romantic event, she suggested holding the ceremony in an old hotel or historical mansion.

Alternatively, modern hotels or unusual locations such as an art gallery are ideal for those who want a more "contemporary and chic" ceremony, while renovated lodges create a rustic feel.

"Just as when agreeing to marry, it is important to have the feeling of complete certainty when selecting a venue." Ms Smith stated.

The expert added that holding the ceremony and reception at the same place can often work out cheaper, as well as being more convenient.

When it comes to decorating the location, director of the Wedding Community Kim Herbing recommended using white accented with metallic shades to create a romantic look during the winter months.
