Winter nuptials 'should always have wedding insurance'

Wedding insurance is a must-have in winter as adverse weather conditions could easily lead to nuptials being left "in tatters".

This is according to student liaison officer at the Wedding Planner School Georgina Way, who described how she has seen such scenarios first hand.

She explained how freezing temperatures saw one group of guests refuse to remove their coats as the venue failed to have central heating.

Meanwhile, a bride was forced to tie the knot without her parents in attendance, as heavy snow blocked their path to the nuptials.

"Wedding insurance is very important at any time, but especially when weather can bring a halt to plans and leave the bride and groom without vital suppliers or registrars," Ms Way commented.

Editor of Wedding Ideas Magazine Rachel Morgan recently claimed an insurance policy is one of the most important purchases a couple can make ahead of their big day.
